PROGRAM OPERATIONS
HFB SPOKE SERVICES
As the number 2 hub, outside of the Houston Food Bank, we provide a safe space for 16 smaller food pantries to receive their food and items from the Houston Food Bank.
Located between Southeast Houston and Galveston, Texas, we are excited to serve shelters, churches, and other community centers.
SATURDAY COMMUNITY GIVEAWAY
One Saturday per month, we serve food to families from 6:30am - 8:30am through an online sign-up roster.
To get this food, you must sign-up for a time slot - to allow us to keep the traffic off Frey Road. So, here is the process:
- Get a Bible Way Food Pantry Service Card.
- Go to the Latest Information page to access the link to the Saturday Giveaway. Half the slots will open 10 days prior to the giveaway date. And, the other half of the slots will open 5 days before the giveaway date.
- Review the available times below.
- Choose 1 time slot only.
- Click the button to signup.
- Enter the HFB Client Number on your service card.
- **IMPORTANT: Set the Quantity to "1". If you do not follow these exact instructions, you will be removed from the listing.
- Families that have a confirmed registration will be emailed the Friday before the distribution.
- On Saturday, families are asked to arrive 20 minutes prior to their appointment.
- Follow the instructions of our staff and volunteers and line up.
- Remain in your car.
- Refrain from smoking.
- When the line opens at 9am, cars will begin to move forward.
- Go through Bay 5 of the warehouse and stop at each designated location.
- Exit through Bay 4 of the warehouse and safely exit the property.
- Please keep Frey Road clear of all traffic. Thanks for your help with this effort. We are excited to serve you!
WEEKLY FOOD PANTRY SERVICES
We serve food Tuesdays & Thursdays from 6:30am - 8:30am free of charge to the community. To get this food:
- Get a Food Pantry Service Card.
- Line up at the intersection of Frey & Hartsook Roads.
- Move to the northern-most entrance gate of the property to line up.
- Put your Service Card on your vehicle's dashboard.
- Follow the instructions of our staff and volunteers and line up.
- Remain in your car.
- Refrain from smoking.
- When the line opens at 9am, cars will begin to move forward.
- Go through Bay 5 of the warehouse and stop at each designated location.
- Exit through Bay 4 of the warehouse and safely exit the property.
"WE SERVE" OUTREACH
Two days per week, at The OMBC, we serve meals to the community members. Here is the process:
- Sundays - 10:30am - 11:00am - we serve a continental breakfast of fruits, juice, breads and desserts to members of the community FREE of charge.
- Wednesdays - 6:00pm - 7:00pm - we serve a hot dinner meal of meat, pasta/grains, vegetables, and/or desserts to members of the community FREE of charge.

NOTE: If you do not want to attend Church services to receive food, that is your right. You should still come and dine with us as we are excited to serve you!
YOUNG ADULT OUTREACH
Two Sundays per month, we serve a food box to young adults through an online sign-up roster. Here is the process:
- Go to the OMBC REGISTER page to access the link to register for the sign-up.
- Click the button to signup.
- Indicate that you want Pantry Services, if provided that Sunday date.
- Meet with the Young Adult Leader on The OMBC campus after services.

OPERATIONAL GUIDELINES
ASSISTING DISABLED NEIGHBORS
If you are disabled, here is the process:
- For Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday giveaways, you will remain in your car. Our team will serve you.
- For Wednesday Service Card distribution, please email onepowerfulmovement@gmailcom: 1) your full name, your Service Card number, and proof of your disability (letter from Medical Doctor, or letter that you receive Disability Services from the state of Texas or the United States Military). NOTE: We do not need to know your disability. 2) Your year, make, model, and license plate number of your vehicle. 3) The date you plan to come and pick up your Service Card.
- Once it is received, the Data Team Lead will be notified via email of your need for assistance.
- On the date you indicated, arrive by 9:45am and park in the lot north of the warehouse building. Please bring your identification, income, and proof of residency.
- The team will come out and serve you in the parking lot.
NOTE: Please note that if we have too many people requesting disability services on a given date, we may have to move your appointment to another date due to limited staff and volunteer resources.
ASSISTING LIMITED ENGLISH PROFICIENT NEIGHBORS
If you are do not speak English, here is how you can get assistance:
- For Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday giveaways, you will remain in your car. Put your service card on your dashboard. And, our team will assist you.
- For Wednesday Service Card distribution, arrive by 10:00am and park on the north side of the warehouse building.
- If you need Spanish assistance, our team will assist you.
- If you need Vietnamese or another language assistance, you may bring an interpreter or have some on the telephone to interpret as we do not have volunteers that can speak those languages. However, we still want to assist you.
FILE A COMPLAINT
If you would like to file a complaint, here is how you can do so:
- If you are on the property, contact Sis. Marcy, Sis. Teresa, or Sis. Wendy. They are Staff Leads, and they will work to resolve the issue with you.
- If you are not on the property, please email onepowerfulmovement@gmail.com your name, phone number, preferred language, and the nature of your complaint. A Staff Lead will contact you to discuss and resolve the complaint.
